Later in the century it became the TV room and was a room that was meant for entertaining. The grand stair case will take you upstairs to the four bedrooms. The first room to the right has some sound views with built in shelves and a pocket desk that comes down from the wall. The northeast room has a walk in closet and is the only room that has direct access to the full bathroom, but was not considered the master when the house was built. The southeast room has some sound views and also has access to the large attic, which gives for ample storage and room to add more modern amenities such as air conditioning. The master bedroom is located on the northwest side of the house, has a huge walk in closet and was the original owners room. The barn is located at the back of the property and was home to Davis Boatworks, established in 1932. The Daviss built world record holding racing boats out of that barn and also helped other local Manteo boat builders construct boats during World War II for the Navy. The property is well maintained, with beautiful pecan and magnolia trees.
